Adult Day Services of Napa Valley

How to Become a Volunteer

back back | forward forward

Volunteers are an integral part of our organization. Those we serve and their families depend on the care and services provided by both staff and volunteers.  Without the efforts of dedicated volunteers, we could not maintain the high quality of services that we are committed to providing our community.

Volunteer Opportunities
Within Adult Day Services of Napa Valley

Program Volunteers

Adult Day Services volunteers provide support at our center to frail elderly, functionally impaired younger adults, and individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Participating in the activities program
  • Sharing special talents—music, arts & crafts, computer skills, cooking and gardening
  • Accompanying participants during outdoor activities
  • Helping during snack and meal times
  • Providing companionship
  • Providing canine-assisted therapy
  • Assisting with specific therapy programs

Support Volunteers

Support volunteers are essential to supporting the ongoing functions of the organization. They work with office staff, on special projects from their homes, or on-site at our fundraising activities.

Some areas of opportunity for volunteering in support of our organization include:

  • General office projects such as photocopying, filing, and telephone support
  • Speaker’s bureau
  • Data entry
  • Special projects
  • Mailings
  • Errands
  • Fundraising and special events
